Replacing window shutters with wooden shutters was a larger job than I thought it would be. I am a decorator’s assistant and my main job was to go into the houses or apartments or condos and get all of the measurements for the new window shutters. Last year I was sent on this job and I had never seen so many windows in one room. The back wall of their living room was nothing but windows. It overlooked an amazing lake and I knew the shutters were going to look amazing on those windows. The decorator had told me they were going to have a place to push the shutters completely to the side so they can get a full view of the lake when they wanted it. I had never seen this work, but it sounded great to me. This way you can close the windows when you want, but when you are trying to impress people you can leave the shutters open and just enjoy the view of the lake. I have worked with this decorator for a year now and this was really the first job that I was excited about. I usually never go back to the house once my part of the job is finished, but this time I wanted to go back and actually see how they did with the windows. This job took almost six months to finish, but right before the walk through with the customers I went out to the house with the owners to see how everything turned out. The decorator was right the windows in the living room turned out amazing. The customers would be able to push a button and open the windows completely and push another button to close them. They would never have to touch a cord or anything. I knew they were going to love it.
